Burnt Hut

There's no better house in the Australian Alps and there's no better location on Mt. Buller, right on 'Shaky Knees' run, this is one of the few ski chalets in the world where you can ski to and from your front door. The house faces north and enjoys the full winter sun, with a huge balcony and the most amazing views of the mountains you'll ever see.

Designed by award winning architect Peter McIntyre, with furnishings from Graham Geddes, Hermon and Hermon and Kazari, Burnt Hut is conceived for luxury casual living.

Large armchairs with feather filled cushions and northerly sun have views forever over the Victorian high county. Stuffed Persian camel sacks are perfect to lean against in front of the stone fireplace. The window box with all its' cushions and full sun is a snuggery waiting for someone to read or fall asleep. Pack your favourite CD's, there's an amazing sound system.

Layout:
• Down stairs is a ski room, drying room and laundry, two bedrooms with king beds that can split into two singles, an open TV room with a window seat that can be made up as a bed, and a bathroom.
• The first floor is open plan kitchen, living and dinning with bar stools at the kitchen bench that lower so that 12 people can sit around the dinning room table. Great to have friends over for dinner.
• The second floor has a sauna and a third bedroom with a king bed that can split into two singles and en-suite.
• The forth bedroom has a king size bed with a huge en-suite and spa, wait until you see the view from this shower! There's a ladder from the forth bedroom up to a loft with two small single beds.

Bring only what you need to relax, some CDs, a good book, and of course your ski gear and food. The linen is 100% cotton with single doonas and snug T-Shirt covers the towels are huge Country Road Egyptian cotton and we have Aveda products for you in the bathroom.

It all starts in the kitchen with a commercial Gaggia espresso coffee machine, there's a large Smeg oven with 5 burners, dishwasher, microwave, double door fridge, Magimix and all the pots, pans and gadgets a gourmet could need. The little things like nutmeg, coriander seeds, salt and pepper or cumin are in the cupboard above the stove.
