Sking and Snowboarding

Mt Buller’s ski area is vast and varied! Protected beginner runs, ‘cruise control’ intermediate areas, challenging black runs and the vertical decent of our double black diamond chutes are of world standing.

Our grooming crews are renowned internationally. Many leading overseas resorts recruit our grooming specialists for their northern winter. With a fleet of some 15 modern snow cats, our crews work all night long preparing your playground. If you like smooth corduroy, we have acres of it waiting for you to carve up each morning.

Mt Buller’s snowmaking system has the highest capacity in Australia – Which means we make more snow for you to enjoy and of a quality second to none.

We have one of the most advanced lifting systems in the Southern Hemisphere. Some 25 lifts including 13 modern chairlifts. Rest in the air, but not for too long! Our fast moving lifts give you maximum time on the snow.

Terrain

When it comes to skiing and riding, Mt Buller has steeps, deeps, chutes, long cruisers, and gentle family runs. We cater for every level of ability to ensure your ‘on snow‘ experience is a memorable one.

Parks and Pipe

Boarders and skiers will rock and roll in our terrain and rail parks and our half pipe at Boggy Creek. Geographically, our hill is filled with natural launch pads, hits, cornices, cliff drops, and ridges. – Mt Buller is just one big natural terrain park.

Telemarking

Most of the new crew call it ‘Free Heeling’. Just as snow boarding has been a revolution to the mountains over the last decade, telemarking has now popped up as the latest ‘thing to do’ with a new generation of snow goers.

Whilst telemarking dates back to the origins of skiing, new technology in skis, boots and bindings has made the sport user friendly and extremely rewarding in the challenge to master.

Our second snow play area, the'White & Wild' Snowtubing Park, at the top of the Blue Buller 2 chairlift, is supported by a rope tow to pull you back up the top. Snowtubing is free for all guests with a valid sightseeing lift pass or normal ski/board lift pass.
